The primary purpose of this Outreach Extension Assistant position is to provide broad support of the outreach efforts of CEFS' Farm to School (F2S) Initiatives and the Farm to School Coalition of NC.

This position will be part of the Administrative Working Group and will support the CEFS Business Manager in supporting all the business functions of CEFS and the 50+ CEFS employees.
The position of the Sustainable Agriculture Internship Program Assistant (PA) is to assist in carrying out activities associated with the CEFS Sustainable Agriculture Internship Program from approximately June 11, 2018 – August 3, 2018.
This position of Farm Operations Manager is to work under the direction of the Small Farm Unit (SFU) manager and the Co-Director of CEFS at NC State to plan and manage the implementation of production, research, and field demonstrations at CEFS' Small Farm Unit.
Responsibilities for this position will focus on building a strong social media presence for CEFS, supporting CEFS’ various programs and initiatives with graphic design expertise, promoting and advertising workshops and events, and providing media outreach support.
This position offers work providing administrative and communications support to the statewide Local Food Council of North Carolina.
This position offers work with the Center for Environmental Farming Systems with a graduate student research project studying losses in vegetable crop in North Carolina.
This position will interview current and former apprentices (approximately 30) who have participated or are participating in the 8-week NCGT Summer Local Food Supply Chain Apprentice Program.
This position will support the general work of CEFS as well as specific initiatives. This position will be part of the Events Logistics Team and will participate in the logistics of all CEFS events, and will be part of the Administrative Working Group and will support the CEFS Business Manager in supporting all the business functions of CEFS and the 50+ CEFS employees.
The primary purpose of the Project Coordinator is to oversee and manage the strategic expansion and deepen the reach of local food policy councils in NC, and beyond, to bolster food sovereignty in local communities, especially as it relates to working with the wisdom in the most vulnerable communities across North Carolina. This position’s aim is to support the voices of community members to engage with policy and systems change for a more healthy and community-based food system.
