March 2015 – NC Growing Together has updated several pricing and quality control resources for growers. To supplement its popular guide Wholesale and Retail Product Specifications: Guidance and Best Practices for Fresh Produce, NCGT recently released a new Slide Set with additional photos to illustrate product quality and information from quality control specialists on proper presentation and packing of product.
Additionally, Updated Price Graphs show weekly wholesale pricing data for nearly 30 commodities sold at the Raleigh Farmers Market during 2011-2014, as reported by the NC Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ marketing division. All resources can be found on NCGT website’s Resources For Producers page.
