North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University is seeking a Temporary Horticulture Research Assistant with the Extension Horticulture Unit at N.C. A&T Extension.

Key Responsibilities: The research assistant will help conduct high tunnel vegetable research and demonstrations at the Small Farm Unit of the CEFS (Center for Environmental Farming Systems) Field Research, Education, and Outreach Facility at Cherry Research Farm in Goldsboro, NC. The position will be under the direct supervision of the unit manager and the principal investigator at N.C. A&T. 

Work Schedule: This is a temporary full-time position that ends on September 30, 2022, but with a great opportunity to continue beyond the term. 

Experience/Education: A minimum high school or equivalent diploma and at least one-year experience in vegetable production is required. Experience in high tunnel production and operating farm equipment is preferred.
