Learning Burst: Scrap Gardening and Botanical Science

During this Learning Burst participants will learn the following:
- Garbage Can Gardening: Take those leftover carrot tops, pineapple tops and avocado pits and coax them to grow. Wonder about plant cellular totipotency or the ability of plants to take a hunk of themselves and turn it into a new plant!
- Why do plants smell? Take advantage of plant aromatics and make easy and smelly botanical bath bombs and sugar scrubs.
- Celebrate the incredible ability of bees to secrete wax and turn this wax into a marvelous chapstick
