Social & Online Media Guide: Building Farm & Food Business Websites

The NCGT Social and Online Media Guide includes four components to help farm and food businesses increase economic success through social and online media platforms. These include step-by-step guides to building a website, using Pinterest, and using Facebook, and a two-page overview of online media tools that includes a glossary and tips from a wholesale accounts representative.

In this guide, a Local Accounts representative for a North Carolina grocery store chain describes how to build a website with, including special information for producers selling into wholesale markets. Producers can also visit the Center for Rural Enterprise Engagement for more in-depth training and tutorials on social media and online marketing.
