Rachael Manasseh

Rachael Manasseh is a second year Masters of Public Health student filled with curiosity and passion for food and nutrition. As a  Food-Inspired Resilience & Equity (FIRE) intern, she worked with North Carolina Sea Grant. This opportunity not only honed her academic prowess but also allowed her to immerse herself in hands-on experiences, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world impact.

As an intern, Rachael’s role centered around harnessing the power of communication and community engagement. With a keen eye for detail and an enthusiasm for culinary exploration, she created social media content that connected consumers with locally sourced seafood recipes and nutritional insights. Her dedication extended beyond the virtual world, collaborating closely with local seafood businesses to enhance their online presence and reach. This showcased her adaptability and empathetic approach in understanding the ever-evolving challenges faced by these businesses in a rapidly changing digital landscape.
