The Research Associate, Soil Science position will be located in the Soil Sustainability Lab in the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Design at the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro, NC.

Primary Purpose of Position

The primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to conducting field and laboratory experiments to evaluate soil microbial carbon and nitrogen cycling, greenhouse gas emissions, and biological soil health indicators.

Minimum Requirements

This position requires a MS and/or PhD degree in one of the following fields: soil science, soil microbiology, microbial ecology, soil biogeochemistry

Preferred Skills

Demonstrated research experience in soil DNA/RNA extraction, PCR/qPCR analysis, soil enzyme analysis, soil microcosm experiment, soil greenhouse gas.
