The Post Doctoral Research Associate, Soil Science position will be located in the Soil Sustainability Lab in the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Design at the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro, NC.

Primary Purpose of Position

The Post Doctoral Research Associate, Soil Science will conduct soil fertility and cropping systems research to identify best management practices for sustainable hemp production. The research project is entitled “Soil Health Management for Value-Added Hemp Production,” funded by USDA NIFA.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Completed Ph.D. degree in agronomy or soil science, specializing in research related to soil fertility and/or production agriculture.
  2. Evidence of published scholarly works in peer-reviewed journals
  3. Expertise in data analysis using statistical software (SAS, R, etc.)
  4. Evidence of independence in conducting research
