Expectations

Please view the full list of expectations for the internship.

What will the work schedule look like?

We expect accepted individuals to treat this like a job. Being on time and attentive are extremely important for each day. Interns should always communicate with their mentors and the internship coordinator about scheduling conflicts; however, interns are only allowed 2 excused absences before they are put on probation. Any further absences will result in removal from the program.

This also means it is in the candidates’ best interest to not overcommit for the duration of the program. No synchronous classes or other jobs/internships during the internship.

How will the workshop/instructions be delivered?

This program is designed to be in-person; however, many technological resources will be used to communicate throughout the summer, especially if COVID-19 restrictions are in place. Interns are expected to be comfortable with using Zoom, email, Google calendars, and other communication platforms.

Who should I contact about the program?
