Jane Howard of Goldsboro was recognized as the 2009 Volunteer of the Year by CEFS Directors Dr. John O’Sullivan and Dr. Nancy Creamer at the annual Team Appreciation Meal held at CEFS’ Research Farm on December 17. We have benefited from her wonderful gardening experience and her endless willingness to be part of our Small Farm Unit team. Jane has contributed many hours of service over the last two years to us and to the community as we provide vegetables to various community organizations in Goldsboro. She is just a great person to work with, and all of us have been so blessed by her company and her input to make the SFU and our community a better place.
