WNC Strong Youth Service Corps
WNCStrong Youth Service Corps supports Hurricane Helene disaster recovery in Western NC by hiring high school students in severely impacted counties to assist farmers and agricultural-related organizations as they rebuild after the storm. Corps members build their own socioemotional resilience as they work to build resilient food and agricultural systems in their home communities. Members also participate in service days, monthly career readiness sessions, and complete individualized civically-engaged community leadership projects.
