Effects of Growing‐Finishing Pig Stocking Rates on Bermudagrass Ground Cover and Soil Properties (2020)
A common challenge for most livestock industries is to identify more productive, efficient and sustainable pasture‐based production systems that have a positive effect on animal welfare, biodiversity and long‐term operation profitability without negatively influencing the environment.
This study compared the effects of four different pig stocking rates over two 14‐week grazing periods, on the vegetation ground cover and soil properties of bermudagrass paddocks.
