Join us Monday, February 28th from 3pm – 5pm at Tri-County Community College for our Farmer-Buyer Event! North Carolina State University Extension Clay County Center in collaboration with the EmPOWERING Mountain Food Systems project is hosting a mixer to connect farmers with new markets.

This event brings everyone together to match up local food growers and local food buyers! Potential buyers meet and talk with prospective farmers and processors to create potential sales relationships. Growers at each table have 8-10 minutes to share product lists, photos of their farm, and samples with buyers. Buyers have the opportunity to share their requirements for volume, insurance, delivery terms, and their specific product needs.

The meeting model is like a ‘speed-dating’ event where restaurants and providers will meet briefly then move on to the next vendor! It’s a lot of fun and Tri-County Community College Culinary students will provide snacks.
