Callia Cox

Callia Cox is a passionate food systems advocate with a background in dietetics and public health. She was a Food-Inspired Resilience & Equity (FIRE) intern with the Cumberland County and Fort Bragg Joint Food Policy Council, where she worked to improve food access and nutrition in the community.

Callia is a creative and innovative thinker with a strong commitment to social justice. She is skilled at building relationships and working with diverse stakeholders to achieve common goals. 

In her presentation, Callia shared her experiences working with the Food Policy Council to improve food access through public transportation, farmers markets, and community outreach. She also spoke about her personal journey from dietetics to food systems work, and her commitment to centering communities in the food system conversation.

Callia is a rising star in the food systems field. She is passionate, dedicated, and creative.
