The webinar discussed the importance of managing pasture intake for horses. Horses are periodic grazers and like to eat small, frequent meals throughout the day and night. They are also selective grazers and can be inefficient if they are not managed properly. Pasture is an excellent source of nutrients for horses, but it is important to match the intake to the horse’s requirements. Overgrazing can lead to pasture degradation, while underutilization can waste resources.
