Registration for Transformational Community: A Way Forward 2025 Community Food Gathering is now open!

The Gathering will take place September 17-18, 2025 at The Conference Center at GTCC in Colfax, North Carolina, with additional events in the surrounding Greensboro area.

Transformational Community: A Way Forward is Community Food Strategies’ signature statewide community food gathering event which brings together various food system change makers to explore solutions, learn skills, and strategize around how to create a food system built by us and for us.  Come join other community food advocates, farm and food system practitioners, public service and nonprofit leaders, local food coalitions and council members, faith communities, and more!

We’ll have a keynote speaker, workshops, and panel discussions. Workshop sessions will weave in themes of resistance, reformation, re-imagination, and re-creation while focused on topics about grassroots-led strategies, working within systems to influence policy, exploring alternative economic models, and deepening our relational practices so that we can transform our food systems.
