Sustainable Vegetable Production Registered Apprenticeship
As North Carolina’s first Registered Agricultural Apprenticeship Program, the Sustainable Vegetable Production Apprenticeship aims to increase the pool of trained agricultural workers for management positions at diversified vegetable operations in North Carolina with an emphasis on training community members historically excluded from such positions, including women, racial minorities, and economically disadvantaged individuals.
Registered with ApprenticeshipNC, the state apprenticeship coordinating body, this apprenticeship includes both hands-on job training and classroom-based training. This credential will demonstrate to future employers nationwide that apprentices are fully qualified and highlight which skills they have mastered.
