Join CEFS for NC State Day of Giving!

Mark your calendar for Wednesday, March 24, 2021 for NC State Day of Giving. CEFS is participating as part of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) team.

NC State Day of Giving is an annual, daylong fundraising event. For 24 hours, the Wolfpack comes together to help NC State achieve more: greater opportunities, broader educational access, bolder visions and more innovative research. NC State Day of Giving ​aims to help make sure everyone can adapt in difficult circumstances while meeting urgent and ongoing needs, expanding opportunity, honoring what makes us different and providing meaningful space for all.

If you are able to support CEFS during Day of Giving, funds will support CEFS’ work to promote just and equitable food and farming systems that conserve natural resources, strengthen communities, improve health outcomes, and provide economic opportunities in North Carolina and beyond.

You can donate on March 24th and we encourage you to donate at these times if possible:

First-time donors	12pm
Alumni	1pm or 6pm
Faculty and staff	2pm
All other donors	donate anytime between 12:00am and 11:59pm!

 

We hope you’ll also join us in sharing our social media posts and creating your own for the following Day of Giving Social Media Challenges to help CEFS earn bonus funds:

Before Day of Giving (March 24th):

(Between March 17th and March 24th) Visit @CALSNCState on Facebook and share the NC State Day of Giving video posted there on March 17th. Be sure to use #GivingPack AND tag @CALSNCState and @CEFSpage. The college or unit with the most direct shares before March 24th will win $2,000 in bonus funds.

(March 23rd): Show us your Wolfies social media challenge: Take a photo of yourself holding up the Wolfies/Wolf Ears and help spread the word about Day of Giving. Post on Twitter and Instagram with #GivingPack and tag @cefsnc (Instagram) or @infoCEFS (Twitter). Post to Facebook by posting the photo publicly and tagging @NCState and mentioning @CEFSpage.

On March 24th:

(All Day) #GivingPack Hashtag Match Challenge (On Twitter and from personal accounts only): Share something you love about NC State — why you chose it, a favorite memory, a shout-out to a friend, your favorite campus spot, etc. — and tweet using the hashtag #GivingPack. Mention @infoCEFS and $10 will automatically be given to CEFS in your honor!

(8am) Emoji Challenge: Describe anything you love about NC State in emojis! Post on Twitter with the hashtag #GivingPack and tagging @infoCEFS

(11am) Pack Pets Challenge: Show us the best photos of your Pack Pets (or farm animals) decked out in NC State gear! Post on Twitter and Instagram with hashtag #GivingPack and tag @cefsnc (Instagram) or @infoCEFS (Twitter). Also eligible to post to Instagram stories by tagging @ncstate, @cefsnc, and using #GivingPack.

(12pm) We are One Wolfpack Challenge: Post photos of yourself in your NC State gear. Use the hashtag #GivingPack and tag CEFS: @cefsnc (Instagram) or @infoCEFS (Twitter). On Instagram stories tag @ncstate and @cefsnc, and using #GivingPack.

(2pm) The “Don’t Give Up” Challenge: Inspired by Jimmy V., give a shout-out to someone at CEFS who inspires you or keeps you motivated. Post on Twitter and Instagram with #GivingPack and tag @cefsnc (Instagram) or @infoCEFS (Twitter). On Instagram stories tag @ncstate and @cefsnc, and using #GivingPack.

(6pm) Red Photos: Post the last RED photo on your camera roll and use #GivingPack. Post on Twitter and Instagram with #GivingPack and tag @cefsnc (Instagram) or @infoCEFS (Twitter). On Instagram stories tag @ncstate and @cefsnc, and using #GivingPack.

(10pm) Wolfpack Wild Card Challenge: At 10pm, the @ncstate Twitter account will post a final Day of Giving tweet. Reply to the tweet with a wolf of your choice and mention @infoCEFS!
