EmPOWERing Mountain Food Systems (EMFS) supported numerous food and farming businesses during the challenging onset of COVID 19. Four regional food and farming businesses made marketing changes continuing to supply local products with unique solutions and important partnerships. EMFS is funded by the Appalachian Regional Commission, NC State University, and the Cherokee Preservation Foundation.
