Fertilizing Crops in High Tunnels (2010)
Properly fertilizing crops in high tunnels or hoop houses is important to maximize yields and profits of high value crops such as tomatoes. Providing nutrients to the crop through the drip irrigation system on a daily or weekly basis is one meant of meeting the nutrient need of the crop. Since the crop nutrient needs change as the crop matures, the amount of nutrient applied at any particular time should be appropriate for the crop growth stage. This document provides information to determine the amount and type for fertilizer and when and how it should be applied.
