Centralize BIPOC Leadership

CORE’s mission is a commitment to promoting inclusivity and equity in food production and distribution. Food systems led by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) represent an essential aspect of our diverse agricultural landscape, yet they often face unique challenges and systemic barriers. Our platform seeks to spotlight  BIPOC food systems in North Carolina.

By addressing key issues and challenges faced by BIPOC communities in the food sector, we work to dismantle barriers and collaborate with communities involved in food production. Here are some of our key questions and actions:

  • What specific challenges do BIPOC farmers face?
    • We conduct research and share insights to raise awareness about the unique hurdles faced by BIPOC farmers.
  • How can we amplify BIPOC voices in the food industry?
    • We provide a platform for storytelling and spotlighting BIPOC food leaders.
  • What resources are available for BIPOC individuals interested in food systems?
    • We curate tools for educational programs and provide a networking platform tailored to support BIPOC individuals in the food sector.

By addressing these questions and fostering a community-driven dialogue, we aspire to contribute to the resilience and prosperity of BIPOC food systems. Join us on this journey towards a more equitable and inclusive future in food and agriculture.
