FREE HACCP Food Safety Certification Course for On-Farm Poultry Processing: Available to the First 25 Farmer Applicants (package valued at $3000/per person)

 

In an effort to support the pastured poultry community and promote strong food safety practices, Dirigo Food Safety is partnering with CEFS’ NC Choices and NC Cooperative Extension’s Niche Meat Working Group to offer an On-Farm Poultry Processing HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) package, FREE OF CHARGE, to the first 25 farmers who apply. This Food Safety Planning Kit includes:

  1. An online, IHA-certified HACCP training course
  2. Basic SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to support the included HACCP plan
  3. Two hours of consulting time with Dirigo Food Safety’s experienced staff

Upon completion of the online training (approximately 20 hours), participants will have an internationally recognized credential that demonstrates their commitment to and understanding of food safety practices.  **Please note HACCP plans are not required for exempt poultry operators. This food safety plan is being offered proactively to help ensure best food safety practices on farm as an added benefit to farm businesses. **
