The Cooperative Extension Program at N.C. A&T observes a milestone anniversary this year, with the 30th Annual Small Farms Week (SFW) celebration, scheduled for March 20-26, 2016.

Public help and input are needed to make it the most notable ever celebration of small-scale agriculture and institutional pride. Supporters are asked to donate to two food drives: one on campus and one designed as a statewide effort to help feed North Carolina’s food-insecure residents.

WHAT: Small Farms Week is an annual observance of small-scale agriculture and the farmers that produce it. Farm tours; workshops on land retention, vegetable production, pastured poultry and season-extension practices and more; 2016 North Carolina Small Farmer of the Year announced. REGISTRATON REQUIRED *

WHEN: Events on March 21, 22 & 23*

SUPPORT: Qualifying farmers are eligible for financial support for an overnight stay to attend events.
